With over 20 years of professional experience in the tourism sector, Alonso worked in hotel chains like Melia Hotels International and El Fuerte Group as a Managing Director, Expansion & Operation Manager, Industry Analyst and General Manager.

Thinkotel was founded in July 2014, it is the first interim managers network, that specialises in the tourism sector. He believes the value creation in this sector lies in Talent, Experience and Knowledge (Human Capital). It`s a member of Spain Interim Managers Association.

Qualifications that he has subsequently complemented with specific training in areas such as Leadership (Hay Group), Development and People Management (Otto Walter) and Emotional Intelligence Applied to Business (Standby) among others.

He has extensive experience of more than 20 years in the hotel sector, mainly in Meliá Hotels International, a company in which he has managed to manage some of its most emblematic hotels in Spain, covering both Leisure (Beach, Golf, Snow ) as City (Business Travel, Mice, Airport) projects.

In 2016, he joined the Grupo Inversor Phoenix (owner of two hotels in Spain and one in Argentina) where he held the position of Managing Director for Spain. Position from which he led the investment projects, start-up and opening, negotiation of strategic agreements, etc. of the Group’s hotels
